DR-MH30 PSU more annoying than ever

Post by Rick_J »

hey, I fixed the PSU before (see earlier post) and things workied fine. Now its broken again and I've figured out that the 5v supply to the DVD drive is ok but the 5v supply to the hard disc is reading 1.5v. It was reading 5v before i re-soldered capacitor 5316. can someone point me to the components likely to affect the hard disc power? Many thanks

Hi

Did you solve this or not?

I can let you have a schematic if needed

Hi, thanks for the schematic Andy, I spent a good few hours and discovered a faulty resistor on the base side of the 12v transistor for the HDD. Now i have another problem - the multi-pin cable to the main board decided to wear out and now the ~ 40 v supply isnt connecting anymore causing all light on the front panel to light up. Now I need a new cable/unit...
