JVC Closed most service accounts and spares

Post by andywilks » Wed Oct 13, 2010 10:50 am

I feel it is worth mentioning that here in the UK, JVC have now closed almost ALL independant dealer service/ spares accounts as part of their strategy for the future.

This means I too now have only limited access to JVC.
For the time being we dealers still have online technical info/manuals available to us.
But I have to order spares from a 3rd party supplier now so prices have increased by about 35% now I reckon

The JVC manufacturing corporation was bought out in 2008 and various plant & departments seem to have been 'asset stripped' This leaves the distribution companies (JVC UK, JVC Germany etc) with almost nothing to sell. At the time of writing, all TV & DVD has ceased. Camcorders, In car hifi and headphones are about all that this once great company now has to sell. How the mighty have fallen.
