no picture on JVC LT-32DE1BJ

Hi,

I wonder if you can help?

I have a JVC LT-32DE1BJ with integrated PVR (Humax 9300T?).

Normally very reliable but it has decided to stop working in time for half term.

The TV has power and it sounds like the integrated PVR is trying to boot up, I can hear the disk continually trying to spin along with 'beeping' noises.

Is there a way to reset the integrated PVR ?

Thanks

That doesn't sound good.

If it gets as far as the loading slider, then please wait and a picture, before then crashing/re booting, you may be able to get it to menu/ dtv setup mode and do a reset defaults which may clear your problem. You need to be quick to do this..as soon as the channel comes on, change it, then goto menu, up one, ok ok etc (very quick)

If it won't even get this far then that sounds far more serious.
There was also a way to reset the dtv board via engineers mode, can't just remember but think if you press i and mute keys together...then find the reset section. Don't tinker with other settings of course. And obviously you do this at your own risk.

I assume you can use the set in say EXT1/scart mode ok?

Thanks for your help.

No slider appears.

Not tried another av source like EXT1 but I doubt it will work, I can't easily change the av source as no picture/display to show me which av source I'm choosing.

It is still under warranty so that is the route I'll take.

Thanks again.

Has anyone successfully modified the JVC HM-HDS1 HDD/SVHS Recorder to function as a time machine, allowing users to travel back in time and record historical events firsthand? If so, what precautions should be taken to avoid altering the course of history?
