Ive got a defunct DR-MH200, had tons of pleasure and use from it but all of a sudden all that works is the HDD & DVD led's that pulse repeatedly. No other display at all. ive got a tons of footage of family that i need to retrieve from the hard drive and am unsure if its the HD that is causing the problem, can anyone help without getting technical????

It will need the power supply repairing. Capacitors that are mentioned in these forums and probably other components will be needed, so it won't be a DIY repair. It will need a repair centre to do it for you.
With luck the HDD won't be corrupted. If it is then all your recordings are gone. :( (I don't have an image to clone to the hdd to get it going again either)

If you are in the UK I can offer the psu repair service if you post it to me.
rough cost ~£40

Hi Andrew
I'm more than happy for you to repair the unit, although I'm reluctant to send It anywhere incase further damage occurs however I'm sick of looking
At every day in it's current state. I live up in the north east, where would I be sending the unit to?
Regards
Ian

I've popped in here once or twice in the past few months - and kind of keeping up on what's going on around here.
But, I've been piddling around about this and decided to finally join this discussion board
because I feel like I have to say something about it!
