Glad we are still able to help in some small way.

At work, we have given up on these models now, as everyone wants more modern PVR recorders with HD etc, so they are all obsolete.
I'm not sure how much longer we can be of use.

I have always and still use norton ghost, as offered by Geert Jan elsewhere on this site. Still works for me now (from a floppy)!

Those symptoms sound like a bad connection on one of the pins on the SCART lead.

If the sound continues, it can't really be in the DRMH

The voltage regulators require input and output capacitance to be able to control the output correctly. The faulty caps allow ripple on the lines, upsetting the regs.

R-LK I think is remote lock or childproof mode . That doesn't sound good. :cry: If it gets as far as the loading slider, then please wait and a picture, before then crashing/re booting, you may be able to get it to menu/ dtv setup mode and do a reset defaults which may clear your problem. The metal shafts through the gears are too tight and eventually the plastic gears split. They are not available :(
